What?
ish is thrilled to launch applications for our Emerging Artist Fellowship. Through a nine (9) month cohort experience, Fellows will learn the foundations of Design Thinking and Community Program Design, grow their connection to Cincinnati and their own cultural heritage, design new arts & cultural experiences and engage with social justice & Jewish wisdom. Fellows will participate in one of two tracks: Liv.ri.ut, the Art of Self Expression (Art & Creative Practice focused) or Kavanah, the Art of Gathering (Social Justice & Jewish Wisdom focused).
Who?
ish is seeking young professionals (approx. 22-40 years) for our Emerging Artist Fellowship in 2022. Fellows do not need to identify as Jewish, but should have great appreciation for diversity, cultural exploration, & community programming. The most qualified applicants are young adults with experience in peer-to-peer networking, artistic expression, social justice practice, and deep connections to the Cincinnati arts, social action &/or Jewish communities.
Where?
ish Emerging Artist Fellows should be living in the greater Cincinnati area. Fellowship programs will occur virtually and in- person, adhering to all relevant public health guidelines as advised. In person gatherings may take place in a variety of different locations around the City.
When?
ish Emerging Artist Fellowships will run from January to October 2022. Fellows will innovate new programs and participate in ish's signature initiatives throughout the year. Fellowship cohorts will meet monthly with peer and expert facilitators, with both cohort tracks coming together as one community once a month to learn, explore and connect together.
Why?
ish and our partners know that Young Adults can experience barriers to engaging with Jewish, arts, and social justice circles, especially in the times that we live in. We're here to uplift your voice, spotlight your talent, and grow your connections and network. Using a proven peer-to-peer model, Fellows will deepen their connections to the greater Cincinnati community and explore new avenues for personal growth.
How?
Each of our Emerging Artist Fellows will receive a learning and programming stipend of $1,000 to innovate new young adult-led works, programs, or experiences. Stipends will be distributed at the conclusion of the course, however Fellows will have access to partial funds for program expenses.
