ish Emerging Artist Fellowship
applications are now closed
What?
ish and our partners at ArtsWave & Haile Foundation are thrilled to launch applications for our Emerging Artist Fellowship. Through a nine (9) month Fellowship experience, Fellows will learn the foundations of Design Thinking and Community Program Design, grow their connection to Cincinnati and their own cultural heritage, and design new arts & cultural experiences.
Who?
ish is seeking eight (8) young professionals (approx. 22-40 of age) for our Emerging Artist Fellowship in 2021. Fellows do not need to be Jewish, but should have great appreciation for diversity & community programming. The most qualified applicants are young professionals with experience in peer-to-peer networking, artistic expression, and deep connections to the Cincinnati arts & Jewish communities.
Where?
ish Emerging Artist Fellows should be living in the greater Cincinnati area. All Fellowship programs will occur virtually, until relevant public health guidelines are revised.
When?
ish Emerging Artist Fellowship will run from January 15 to October 15, 2021. Fellows will innovate new programs and participate in ish's signature initiatives throughout the year. Our planned signature programs include a new Jewish musical, "Rising in Love" in early Summer, and our Biennial Festival in September. The Fellowship cohort will meet at least once a month to learn, connect, and grow.
Why?
ish and our partners at ArtsWave & the Haile Foundation know that Young Professionals in the Arts experience barriers, especially in the times that we live in. We're here to uplift your voice, spotlight your talent, and grow your connections. Using a proven peer-to-peer model, Fellows will deepen their connections to the greater Cincinnati community and explore new avenues for artistic growth.
How?
Each of our Emerging Artist Fellows will receive a dedicated programming budget to innovate new young professional artistic experiences in Cincinnati, as well as a stipend of $500 at the conclusion of the Fellowship for their own time and talent.
