What is Birds of a Feather?
Birds of a Feather is a Cincinnati-based community building organization encouraging authentic connections. Together, we co-create an intimate circle of trust and belonging through nature-based Jewish practices.
We ask for these events to be open to women identifying due to the nature of vulnerability that might be shared. Our circles are intimate and therefore small in number of participants. Birds of a Feather is multi-generational and open to all faiths. Nature is our teacher: "The more kinds of life in the forest, the stronger that life becomes." -Gary Ferguson
Each season we begin a new quarter. Our circles build upon the connections that are formed. For optimum benefits, Birds of a Feather circles meet on a recurring monthly basis. Circle gatherings occur the first Sunday of each month from 4:30 to 6 PM.
Once a quarter, we hold a fully inclusive "Big Gather," open to all genders, ages, and faiths.
Our creative practices include empowerment drumming, art exploration, nature bathing, reflective storytelling, yoga, breath, mind/body connection, meditation, writing, journaling, poetry, learning, and joyful discovery. We co-create our circle gatherings with our group's intentions and the energy of the Hebrew month.
